On the April 28 episode of MBC’s reality show “Oh Eun-young Report: Marriage Hell”, a wife made shocking accusations that her husband had tried to sexually harass her mother and sister — but the truth revealed a very different story.
The couple appeared on the show with the wife claiming that every action her husband took felt like an act of hypocrisy, even suspecting he might be a “sociopath.” Meanwhile, the husband described walking on eggshells around her every day.
During a conversation while drinking, the wife suddenly accused her husband of trying to grope her mother’s chest and attempting to kiss her sister. The studio was left stunned. The husband responded that he felt attacked by her accusations.
In an interview with the production team, the wife explained that after a family hike and drinking session, her husband allegedly tried to kiss her sister and made inappropriate physical contact with her mother. However, she admitted that she had not witnessed these events herself and was only assuming based on what she thought her sister might have seen.
When the production team checked the facts with the sister, the narrative unraveled. The sister clarified, “He was being overly playful, but it wasn’t sexual harassment.” She also said she had heard nothing inappropriate regarding their mother and added, “If anything had really happened, knowing our mom’s personality, he wouldn’t have gotten away with it.”
Ultimately, the wife’s claims were proven to be misunderstandings. Dr. Oh Eun-young stressed, “If true, such acts would be a crime; if false, it’s a devastating false accusation,” emphasizing the importance of careful fact-checking. Although the wife insisted she felt wronged, testimonies from her family suggested she had unfairly accused her husband.
Observation footage also showed the husband working extremely hard, laboring 17 hours a day while caring for the family, yet the wife dismissed his efforts as mere “performance.” Dr. Oh Eun-young concluded that the root issue in the marriage was less about the husband and more deeply rooted in the wife’s psychological struggles.
